Nello Store di Windows Phone fa la sua apparizione l'interessante applicazione GeoRes, per smartphone Windows Phone 8.x. Si tratta di un utility particolarmente indispensabile per gli amanti di escursioni e passeggiate tra le montagne.

La particolarità dell' app GeoResQ, sta nel fatto che riesce a tracciare i propri percorsi di montagna e nel caso ci fosse la necessità, anche invio SOS di emergenza.
Infatti, attraverso un servizio di geo-localizzazione, approvato dal Corpo Nazionale Soccorso Alpino e Speleologico (CNSAS) e dal Club Alpino Italiano (CAI), consente la tracciatura in tempo reale dei propri percorsi per poi poterli salvare sul portale dedicato potendone consultare e analizzare le info mentre si sta facendo ritorno a casa o in qualsiasi altro momento.
GeoResQ mette a disposizione pure un comodo servizio di invio di richieste di soccorso, sos, che permettono alla centrale operativa di GeoResQ di intercettare l’escursionista e adoperarsi per il recupero in caso di emergenza! Si tratta evidentemente di un valido supporto per conferire maggiore sicurezza ai propri spostamenti in montagna e per tutti gli appassionati degli sport all’aria aperta che perdono l’orientamento.
GeoResQ è un servizio a pagamento con contratto annuale dal costo di 20.00 € + IVA (24,40 €) altrimenti in alternativa per i soci del Club Alpino Italiano il canone sarà di soli 10.00 € + IVA (12,20 €).
