Sono in notevole aumento i produttori che sono alla ricerca di sviluppare e realizzare un tablet da utilizzare in qualsiasi condizione, anche le più estreme, tavolette digitali del genere "rugged", cioè a prova di...TUTTO!

Quest'oggi vorrei proporvi al tal proposito, ciò che da Redmond hanno provveduto di realizzare, ovvero sia il nuovo Tablet Motion CL920, che già è disponibile nel mercato italiano ad un prezzo iniziale di 1.090 € IVA compresa. Proviamo insieme a esaminare e mettere in luce pregi e difetti non chè le varie caratteristiche tecniche del dispositivo.

Allora andiamo per ordine, ovvero sia come avviene in ogni presentazione che si rispetti, dal nome: il tablet in oggetto si chiama Motion CL920, ed è di fatto il nuovo rugged tablet equipaggiato con il sistema operativo Windows 8.1. Il suo impiego e indicato prevalentemente ad un utenza professionale ovvero sia che abbia la necessità di avere a disposizione un prodotto resistente, compatibile con i programmi d'ufficio e più di ogni altra cosa molto potente. In Europa è già commercializzato ad un prezzo suggerito di 1.090 €, il suo peso, nonostante le sue qualità robuste e resistenti è inferiore a 1 Kg (davvero niente male per un Tablet fornito di una scocca rinforzata) e, nel caso il cliente lo preferisse, può essere equipaggiato con OS Windows 8.1 oppure Windows 7.

Tra i tanti punti di forza di questo tablet c'è senz'altro la scelta di aver voluto adottare l'ultimo innovativo processore Intel Pentium N3540, fondato sulla struttura Intel Bay Trail in grado di fornire non soltanto delle prestazioni elevate in ogni circostanza, ma pure un importante risparmio energetico qual'ora c'è ne fosse la necessità, in maniera tale da realizzare il giusto equilibrio tra potenza e autonomia. Ridotti davvero ai minimi termini i tempi di inattività, grazie alla tecnologia proprietaria che garantisce i tempi di ricarica notevolmente bassi in confronto alle altre proposte della concorrenza.

Eccellente anche il comparto relativo alla connettività: infatti non c'è a disposizione solo i normali moduli Bleutooth 4.0 e Wifi 802.11ac, ma pure l'antenna 4G LTE, in maniera tale da potersi riuscire a connettersi al web in piena libertà e sopratutto alla massima velocità. La produttività e l'efficienza sono ulteriormente ottimizzate dalla presenza del software di acquisizione delle immagini SnapWorks di Motion, e l'intero prodotto è certificato MIL-STD-810G e IP52. La protezione manco a dirlo è alta riguardo eventuali urti, cadute, sbalzi di temperatura, acqua, polvere e agenti chimici.
Eccellente anche il display, formato da una diagonale da 10.1 pollici con una risoluzione HD di 1366 x 768 pixel, la protezione del vetro è affidata ad un Corning Gorilla Glass 3 e tecnologia View Anywhere, la quale offre una visibilità con angoli di visualizzazione di 180 gradi e una luminosità più elevata del 33%.

Trattandosi di un prodotto per l'utenza business, non potevano mancare diversi accessori, come il modulo SlateMate (cioè il lettore di codice a barre e di bande magnetiche, ideale per trasformare il tablet in un MPOS), l'unità portatile per l'archiviaizone dei dati e la docking di ricarica ReadyDock.
