ViewSonicV55 primo smartphone con iris scanner

Presentato al CES di Las Vegas del 2014, il ViewSonicV55 potrebbe diventare il primo smartphone in grado di scannerizzare l'iride

ViewSonic, dopo un 2014 pieno di rumor, svela al pubblico il nuovo V55 in occasione del CES 2015 di Las Vegas. Secondo un video promo, il Viewsonic V55 è uno smartphone che consente di eseguire una scansione del bulbo oculare per accedere al telefono - una caratteristica di sicurezza che sarebbe praticamente impossibile da ottenere in altro modo. La iris scanner sarà nascosta dietro una piccola fessura incorporata nella carozzeria del telefono.

La tecnologia può essere utilizzata per sbloccare il telefono, nonché per proteggere determinati file da visualizzare (se avete bisogno di dare in mano il cellulare a qualcun'altro). Ancora non c'è stata alcuna parola ufficiale da Viewsonic circa il ricevitore ma il video promozionale GizmoChina sembra abbastanza autentico.

Anche Samsung è uno dei produttori che lavora a questo tipo di tecnologia. Ma il primo produttore a poter portare sul mercato una simile soluzione sarebbe ViewSonic.

ViewSonic, after a 2014 full of rumor, reveals to the public about the new V55 at CES 2015 in Las Vegas. According to a promo video, the Viewsonic V55 is a smartphone that allows you to perform a scan of the eyeball to log in to the phone - a safety feature that would be practically impossible to obtain in any other way. The iris scanner will be hidden behind a small fissure incorporated into body of the phone.

The technology can be used to unlock the phone, as well as to protect certain files from view (if you need to give your mobile phone to someone else). Yet there has been no official word from Viewsonic about the receiver but the promotional video GizmoChina seems quite genuine

Scanning the iris for the release of the device and other functions was often also approached to smartphone Samsung, which did not seem to have accepted the proposal of the web. In fact the first manufacturer able to bring to market a similar solution would be its own ViewSonic.
