Android 5.0 Lollipop per smartphone pronto per HTC One M8 al 3 di gennaio

Il prossimo sarà, secondo voci insistenti sul web, l’HTC One M8, sembra entro il 3 gennaio del prossimo anno. Prendiamole con le pinze queste notizie, primo non sono ufficiali poi perché un aggiornamento software è meglio aspettare di averlo ricavuto prima di considerare vera la notizia.

La voce è sicuramente attendibile visto che l'ha ritwittata lo sviluppatore LlabTooFer, informazioni relative proprio al prossimo aggiornamento Android per l’HTC One M8. Secondo questo twit, il dispositivo dovrebbe ottenere l’aggiornamento del sistema operativo Android alla sua versione ultima, la 5.0 Lollipop entro la fine di Dicembre, massimo per il 3 Gennaio.

Sempre secondo a queste voci, si è arrivati a questa conclusione alla fine di un incontro riservato agli addetti ai lavori che ha avuto luogo a Londra l’11 dicembre.

Windows Phone | Presto i successori del Lumia 720 e HTC One M8 WP

Presto la serie degli apparati Windows Phone potrebbe aumentare. Da più parti, giungono notizie che durante il mese di agosto verrà dato annuncio riguardo il successore del Lumia 720 (il Lumia 730?) e la versione di HTC One M8 con Windows Phone.

Bisogna puntualizzare altre si che si tratta di voci di corridoio che, nonostante abbiano origine da fonti attendibili, momentaneamente non c'è nessuna ufficialità. In base a quanto riporta il sito NPU, Microsoft darà l'annuncio di un nuovo terminale Lumia con queste probabili (sottolineo il “probabili”) caratteristiche: display da 5 pollici da 720p, processore quad-core Snapdragon 400, GPU Adreno 305, fotocamera posteriore da 8 MP con lenti Zeiss e una potente fotocamera anteriore per selfie. 

Per quel che concerne il form factor non dovrebbe discostarsi troppo da quello del Lumia 720 cosi come, anche alle suddette specifiche tecniche, inducendo a pensare che possa essere il suo futuro erede. Negli USA prevedono che venga immesso nel mercato intorno la fine agosto, tramite il supporto dell’operatore AT&T. I siti web Engadget e WPCentral affermano invece che la tanto vociferata versione con Windows Phone di HTC One M8 sarà commercializzata negli USA già a patire dal 21 agosto, attraverso il gestore telefonico Verizon, ad un prezzo di 199.00 $ (o 610.00 $ senza contratto di abbonamento). 

Nokia Lumia 720

HTC One for Windows dovrebbe possedere all'incirca le stesse caratteristiche tecniche del modello con versione Android, tra cui la DuoCamera, il doppio sensore fotografico che consente di creare foto con un’alta profondità di campo, e il BoomSound, un complesso sistema audio veicolato da due speaker stereo frontali capaci di offrire un suono potente, pulito e senza distorsioni. Si dice anche che supporterà il Voice over LTE (VoLTE), per effettuare e ricevere chiamante anche attraverso la tecnologia LTE.

Entrambi, sempre secondo i rumor, saranno equipaggiati di default con Windows Phone 8.1 GDR1. 

Il sito TheVerge.com afferma che Microsoft, oltre all'erede del Lumia 720, darà luogo anche ad un altro dispositivo Windows Phone. In base alle proprie fonti questo terminale avrà un display da 4,7 pollici e una fotocamera frontale da ben 5 Megapixel, l’ideale per gli amanti dei selfie.
L'erede del Lumia 720, invece, sarebbe stato ritenuto da Stephen Elop (durante lo svolgersi di una presentazione interna in Microsoft) come un device “di fascia alta ad un prezzo accessibile”. Questo apparato mobile avrà una fotocamera PureView e un form factor simile a quello del Lumia 930, ma ancora più sottile e meno ingombrante. Entrambi dovrebbero essere annunciati nel mese di agosto.
