Non è stato certo il classico "pesce d'aprile", il video che mostra il prossimo OS di Microsoft, Windows 10, girare sullo smartphone Xiaomi Mi4!

Il video messo in rete il primo di aprile, è la dimostrazione di come Microsoft abbia in programma di applicare il prossimo suo OS Windows 10 di una nuova caratteristica che avrà luogo nella prossima major release, che potrà essere installata pure su smartphone nati con il sistema operativo di Google, Android. Tale progetto sarà curato della stessa azienda di Redmond, che ha confidato al WinHEC cinese di stare lavorando su un porting di Windows 10 esattamente sullo smartphone Xiaomi Mi4.

Il video che testimonia quanto dichiarato da Microsoft, è stato girato in occasione della stessa conferenza e, con una inopportuna colonna sonora che infastidisce non poco la visione dello stesso, un relatore provvede a tradurre dal cinese, le funzionalità che possono trovarsi nelle tante schermate dell'interfaccia. Per adesso Internet Explorer, Office e Microsoft Store pare che siano funzionanti alla perfezione, con un'user experience che sembrerebbe oltremodo scorrevole e soddisfacente. Il progetto nonostante ciò è ancora in fase di testing, e tante funzionalità potrebbero non essere del tutto non funzionanti.

Lo scopo di Microsoft e Xiaomi per il momento è quello di permettere l'installazione del sistema operativo su Mi4 con un procedimento simile a quello che avviene per l'installazione di una ROM custom, per esempio come quella della Cyanogenod. Non si sa nulla riguardo al fatto di come la novità possa essere accolta dagli utenti Android, che con ogni probabilità in passato sono stati spinti all'acquisto del modello in oggetto, proprio per la presenza del sistema operativo Android, e per determinate caratteristiche come ad esempio le molteplici applicazioni dello Store, che ancora Windows Phone non è in grado di offrire.

Microsoft ha puntualizzato che, a seconda del successo che avrà l'iniziativa, le intenzioni sono quelle di introdurre Windows 10 su il maggior numero possibile di smartphone Android, anche se non è del tutto chiaro come farà la società ad operare sui singoli apparati affinchè tale progetto possa avere luogo.

Ciò che è chiaro, è che questo è l'ennesimo tentativo da parte di Microsoft di aggredire il trafficato mercato cinese, cercando di dare seguito al suo nuovo percorso attraverso uno dei prodotti più diffusi nello mercato asiatico, anche se all'inizio solo per "alcuni utenti selezionati".
