L'applicazione VLC per Android per smarphone e tablet in versione finale su Google Play

Arriva per Android il famoso lettore di file audio e video, che esce dalla fase beta.

Sviluppato per i dispositivi Android, dopo due anni di sviluppo l'app è pronta e scaricabile in versione finale su Google Play. Non sono state apportate tantissime novità, ma è garantita la piena compatibilità con i dispositivi ARMv8 e con l'ultima versione del sistema operativo, Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Per ottenere il massimo dall'app VLC per Android,  usiamolo sui tablet anche se possiamo installarla anche sugli smartphone con sistema operativo del robot-verde iniziando dalla versione 2.1 in poi.

VLC consente la visualizzazione di contenuti memorizzati in locale sul dispositivo, in rete locale oppure consente la riproduzione di audio e video in streaming.

Supporto Chromecast in VLC: ancora assente. L'ultima versione di VLC, purtroppo, non sembra ancora integrare il supporto per Chromecast, l'economica chiavetta di Google che consente lo streaming di contenuti su TV dotati di porte HDMI ed USB. L'arrivo della compatibilità con Chromecast era stato annunciato già a giugno ma ancora non è divenuto realtà.
