A seguito del lancio avvenuto un paio di giorni addietro della quinta beta di iOS 8.2, hanno preso ancor più forza pure le voci relative alla data prevista per il lancio ufficiale dell’aggiornamento su tutti i dispositivi Apple.

Tante e svariate sono le ipotesi al riguardo che sono state avanzate dagli addetti ai lavori del settore sulla questione, ma in effetti ancora non è stata confermata nessuna di queste, quanto meno ufficialmente.
Le voci che più sembrano avere fondatezza al riguardo, sono quelle che fanno riferimento ad un presunto lancio programmato per la prima metà del mese di Marzo, è ciò farebbe della piattaforma hardware qualcosa di già disponibile per potere essere commercializzata nel primo gadget indossabile di Apple, Watch, il quale è stato dichiarato dallo stesso CEO Tim Cook per il mese di Aprile.
L’idea del lancio della nuova release del sistema operativo ancor prima dello smartwatch trova conferma pure per via dell’obbligo dovuto agli sviluppatori da parte di Apple, che prevede la compatibilità delle proprie applicazioni con Watch entro la metà del mese di Febbraio, in maniera tale da dare seguito al rilascio ufficiale di iOS 8.2 e successivamente procedere con la commercializzazione dello stesso Watch.
Faccio presente inoltre che iOS 8.2, oltre ad introdurre certi bugfix e il supporto alle API di Apple Watch, potrebbe avere in dotazione un ulteriore miglioramento relativo alle mappe by Apple. A tal proposito di recente è circolata la voce che Apple possa introdurre nella sua Maps una funzionalità come quella che si trova presente in Google Maps chiamata Street View.
L’idea sarebbe trova corpo anche per via della circolazione di un’auto senza pilota intestata ad Apple, la quale ha sul proprio tetto 12 diverse fotocamere, in modo da fotografare interamente il panorama circostante.
